Sup FREESTYLE World!!! Here is another edition of the FREESTYLE NEWS brought to you by Freestylemania.com from DMA Magazine, “The Number One Dance Music Magazine.” Well, the summer season has been a hot one with the sky being blue as the ocean and the ocean being blue as the sky. How much better can the summer get? HOW ABOUT WHAT FREESTYLE MUSIC HAS IN STORE FOR US THIS SUMMER!!! On July 24th, The Freestyle Rush Tour kicked off in Philly at the Chrome Nite Life Arena which was hosted by Q102 FM. To a surprise, two of the Freestyle's founding fathers, Stevie B & Tolga have joined together again to do the highly anticpated Freestyle Rush Tour. This tour is headlined by the legendary king himself, STEVIE B, and is backed by his media company, TFKMEDIA.COM, and his website, Freestyleradio.com. The tour is planning to stop in all of the hottest freestyle markets including San Francico/San Jose, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Las Vegas. Cities scheduled for future dates include: El Paso, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, Gulfport, Panama City, Ft. Walton Beach, Tampa, Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale/Miami, Hartford, Fresno, Sacramento, New Orleans & Lafayette. Freestyle Veteran, Tolga, has said, "Freestyle Rush is really going to be a big national tour and that so far this will be the biggest Freestyle Tour in history." No doubt this will be the biggest considering the massive acceptance this tour is receiving from its freestyle fans and especially the radio stations. With acts like TKA, Lil Suzy, Angel Clivilles, the Cover Girls, Sythia Figueroa, Willie Valentin, Freeze, and the Prince of Freestyle himself, Coro, backing Stevie B and his live band, it is no wonder why this is the hottest dance ticket this year. Another Freestyle legend that is coming out again is the legendary SAFIRE. Her single, "Don't Break My Heart 2002," is the very same single that shot her to the top of the Freestyle charts but with some few changes. Freestyle composer, Tony Moran, has come back into the freestyle scene as the main remixer of the reworking of Safire's hit. If you all remember, Tony Moran is one half of the Latin Rascals and has produced many of the Freestyle greats from Noel to Rockell's recent album, "Instant Pleasure." Safire can be seen up close and peronal on her label, GlobeStar Entertainment. Speaking of legends, George Lamond is back with a vengeance!! Under Prestigio Records, his newest salsa LP titled GL is finally complete and is promoting his newest single, "Volver Amar," which has become a national radio hit. Since his departure from Freestyle, he has received many recognitions for his crossover into the latin industry; lets not forget his grammy nomination for best salsa!! But his true freestyle fans have not forgotten him and know that he has not forgotten them. Keep an eye out for Mr. Lamond as his return to freestyle is sooner than you think. The dynamic group that captured the hearts of many freestyle girls in the late 80's and early 90's are back in full force. Tony, Kayel, & Angel also known as TKA are back!! They made a strong effort in 2000 with their dynamic performance at the Freestyle Reunion at Club Exit singing all of their classics including their new single, "When Will I See You Again." But with rumored problems with their long time TommyBoy associate, Joey Gardner, the band decided it was best that they part their business relationship with Mr. Gardner. As a result, it halted the release of their much anticipated new album. Well, it is my pleasure to say that the wait is finally over. With their new single, "Feel The Music," hitting the airwaves, TKA has announced that their album will be in stores on October 9th. What a summer for Freestyle Music!!! Other music out now is Bobby Leal's "Threesomes" Cd Single featuring a lil new school freestyle by Danielle Martinez "All Night Long", a lil Classic Bobby Leal "For You" and a lil old school from Solei "Pleasure and Pain". Also out now is Freestyle Attack 7 by Busy Boy, for more info log on to Freestyle Attack. Also out is Bad Boy Joe's "The Best of Freestyle Mega Mix" for more info log onto www.BadBoyJoe.com. Currently celeberating their newest compilation is Flipzide Music. This conneticut base freestyle record company is lead by a talented team of producers and singers. Their newest compilation, "Enter Da Flipzide," introduces a few new faces into the Freestyle industry such as Jocelyn, Tony B, and JL. For more info on Flipzide, visit their site at FlipZide Music. On a sadder not, Freestyle genius, producer, singer, and writer, Willie Valentin, has closed a chapter in the history of his freestyle label, Artistik Records. Willie's latest release, "Freestyle Parade 2K1," which is CD #1 of a two CD series, is in his opinion on of his best and will be his last Freestyle Cd; hopefully not for awhile. According to DMA magazine, he is venturing into new ground with a brand new salsa production by a female singer called SUJEYLEE. What is it with Salsa? It seems that the Salsa industry lures our Freestyle Artists away. Can you blame them? The music is great and dancing it is even better. Artists such as Brenda K. Starr and George Lamond have given into the tempation and as a result gained much success in that industry and seem to be doing very well. We here at FREESTYLEMANIA wish Mr. Valentin the very best and know that his talent will bring him the success in Salsa. Well, as I finish up this edition of Freestylemania News, I would like to say that if we are going to keep our music goin, we must BUY the MUSIC. Go out there and purchase every compilation and support this music. That being said, DMA has just released a new compilation on April 24th called, "Best of DMA FREESTYLE FILE" volume 1. This is the first collection of hits ever compiled by the fans through Clubfreestyle.com for the fans celebrating the artists and producers that have made a significant contribution to Freestyle Music. Support Freestyle and purchase this CD at your Major Retail stores or via the net at DMAdance.com. Peace!! Remember….ITS ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC…FREESTYLE FOREVER
