| One thing that many people often do not realize is that behind every great movie, play, song, television or cable show there is not only the actor who plays a role, recording artists that sings or raps a song, a television or cable show host. There is also the writer, director, producer or playwright whose talent and experience can turn an ordinary movie, play, song, television or cable show into a monster hit NELSON “FFWD” CRUZ is such a man. It all started in 1983, when as a REPORTING BILLBOARD MAGAZINE, RADIO STATION (WKTU, KISS-FM, WBLS), CLUB AND STREET D.J. and together with CHRIS BARBOSA, NELSON “FFWD” CRUZ mixed the #1 hit song: “LET THE MUSIC PLAY” by SHANNON for EMERGENCY RECORDS. It was NELSON “FFWD” CRUZ who recommended to MIRAGE/ATLANTIC RECORDS that they pick up SHANNON's, “LET THE MUSIC PLAY” from EMERGENCY RECORDS. Which MIRAGE/ATLANTIC RECORDS did and the rest became musical history. SHANNON's, “LET THE MUSIC PLAY” has also been featured in such major motion pictures as: “THE CRYING GAME”, “KNIGHTS OF THE CITY”, “DANCE MUSIC”, an overseas release, which also featured another song mixed by CHRIS BARBOSA and NELSON “FFWD” CRUZ: “ON THE UPSIDE” by XENA on EMERGENCY RECORDS which featured the lead vocals of LISA FISCHER. |
